2 Ways to Register Songs From a CD

1. Convert the songs into computer files and register them online
        • This method is quicker and cheaper (so we recommend it).

2. Mail us the CD (if within the U.S.)
        • Use this method if you have trouble using method #1.

 1. REGISTERING CD ONLINE:

You must first RIP your tracks from the CD!   (DON'T use the CD's .cda files)
For instructions how to "rip" songs, see boxes below ↓

        • After ripping the songs, you must register 4 at a time (one "batch").
After the first 4, there's a link to return to register the next 4, etc.

        • The cost is $29.95 per batch (1-4 songs) — you're eligible for a 15% rebate
if you join our Discount Program.

 2. REGISTERING CD BY MAIL:

        • The cost is slightly more — $35.00 for each 4 tracks
(so registering 9-12 songs would be $35 x 3 batches)

Converting CD Files Into Computer Files (Method #1)

Do NOT copy songs DIRECTLY from a CD !   (".cda" files)
THEY WILL NOT WORK!     YOU MUST "RIP" THEM FIRST!
.
Why?
 • Files ending in .cda contain NO music or words.
 • They only "point" to audio files hidden on the CD.
 • "Ripping" converts those hidden files!

Instructions for Converting (Ripping) .cda Files

1. Insert CD into computer.
2. If popup window appears, just click "Rip from CD" and skip to #8 below.

3. If no window appears, open Windows Media Player.
4. Click "Rip" tab (toward top of screen).
5. Check boxes of songs to be converted.
6. Click "Start Rip" button.
7. Songs are converted when "ripped to library" appears by titles.

8. They should now be in .wma or .mp3 format and ready for uploading!

[Your newly-converted song files are usually in
your "My Music" folder (sometimes on your desktop).]
